
Phyllis C. (Crotty) King
Phyllis (Crotty) King, 95, widow of Peter J. King, Sr. passed away peacefully on December 29th, surrounded by her children.
Phyllis was born in Lowell on August 7, 1929, the daughter of the late. George E. Crotty and Rose (Sharkey) Crotty.
As a young widow and throughout her life, Phyllis was a woman of great faith and always presented herself with dignity and grace. Love for her family was paramount in her life.
She is survived by Alberta K. Cavanaugh and her husband, Kenneth of Tyngsborough, Paul S. King and his wife Janice M. of Andover, Nancy King-Burke and her husband, Christopher M. Burke, Sr. of Andover, and Matthew J. King and his wife Ellen K. of Longmeadow; 11 grandchildren, Peter R. Cavanaugh and his wife Emily, Courtney K. Reader and her husband, Kevin, Brittney M. Manley and her husband George, Pierce J. King and his wife, Annie, Olivia R. Cottell and her husband Timothy, Maximilian P. King and his fiancee, Maggie Hardcastle, Christopher M. Burke, Jr. and his wife Dimira, Matthew J. King, Jr. and his wife Katie, Thomas P. King, Christopher T. King and Peter J. King; 7 great grandchildren, Delaney Cavanaugh, William Cavanaugh, Jackson Manley,Teagan Cottell, Darcy Cottell, Hazel King, and Grady King and many nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was also predeceased by her son, Peter J. King, Jr. and her granddaughter, Taryn L. King and her two brothers, George Crotty and Raymond Crotty.
At the family’s request, there were no calling hours. Funeral Services were held privately. Margaret Mary Gaudette, R.N. Beloved mother of 9, grandmother and great grandmother.
Margaret Mary (Canty) Gaudette, R.N., 92, formerly of Lowell but more recently of Derry, NH passed away peacefully at Bear Mountain Nursing Home in Andover on Thursday January 9, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Francis D. Gaudette who died in 2003.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on January 25, 1932, the daughter of the late James and the late Marguerite (Tyrrell) Canty, she attended Holy Souls School, Little Flower High School and Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia.
A devoted mother of nine, Margaret also worked outside the home as an OB Nurse at the former St. Joseph’s and St. John’s Hospital for many years until her retirement.
She was a former Den Mother for the Cub Scouts.
Margaret is survived by two daughters Marie Farrah of Lowell and Margaret F. Gaudette and her partner Neil Dubois of Salem, NH; seven sons David Gaudette and his wife Susan of Chelmsford, Michael Gaudette and his wife Linda of Bedford, NH, Edward Gaudette and his partner Lynne Walker South Barre, MA, Timothy Gaudette and his partner Marc Choffel of Mechanicsville, VA, Peter Gaudette and his wife Alma of Chapel Hill, NC, John Gaudette and his wife Savina of Reno, NV and Paul Gaudette and his wife Sandie of Hudson, NH; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Margaret was the mother-in-law of the late Frank Farrah.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Friday January 17, 2025, at ST. MARGARET OF SCOTLAND CHURCH at 10 o’clock. Georgene L. Richard
Beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend;
Georgene L. (Dupont) Richard, 80, of Lowell passed away peacefully on Saturday January 4, 2025, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
She was the loving wife of the late Albert A. Richard.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 6, 1944, the daughter of the late George T. and the late Geneva (Samples) Dupont, she received her elementary education through the Maryland school system and a high school graduate of St. Mary's Academy.
Georgene was a Day Care provider for over 30 years and was affiliated with Community Teamwork.
A longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Parish, she loved crafts, reading, puzzles and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Georgene is survived by two daughters Jill Masotta of Nashua, NH and Lori Millette and her husband Paul of Hudson, NH; a son Troy Richard of Lowell, MA; four grandchildren Mason and Carson Masotta and Paul and Brie Millette; her late brother George T. Dupont, Jr.; her sister-in-law Delores Dupont of Mississippi; a niece Jessica and a nephew Joshua.
Her amazing friends Frances, Joyce, and Shirley throughout her life.

Mary Karen Sullivan Devoted sister, aunt, and grand-aunt;
Mary “Karen” Sullivan, 76, passed away January 8, 2025, at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell after an extended illness. Until late 2023, Karen had been a longtime resident of Marland Place in Andover and was a vibrant member of the assisted living community. As her health care needs increased, Karen moved to the D’Youville Life and Wellness Community in Lowell and was grateful and happy to be part of the caring community. Karen was born in Lowell September 19, 1948, daughter of the late James F. and Helen E. (Jones) Sullivan of Lowell and granddaughter of the late Helen (McCaughey) and Harold Jones, who originally hailed, respectively, from Northern Ireland and Bangor, Maine, and Margaret (Holland) and John Sullivan, who immigrated from County Cork, Ireland. She attended Lowell Catholic and public elementary and middle schools before attending Lowell High School. For many years, Karen worked in the environmental services department of St. John’s Hospital until her early retirement due to health challenges. Upon moving to Andover, Karen became a longtime volunteer at Lawrence General Hospital.
Karen grew up in the Highlands area of Lowell and was an active participant of St. Margaret’s parish. Upon moving to downtown Lowell, where she first resided at the Sun Building and then at Massachusetts Mills apartments, she became a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church. Karen enjoyed travel, with fond memories of trips to Bermuda, California, Florida, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Washington DC. In later years, she relished spending time at Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine. Throughout the years, she remained an avid Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her three brothers, Michael J. Sullivan and his wife Donna (Sweeney), of Lowell, Kevin W. Sullivan and his wife Gail (Pulaski) of Lowell, and Mark P. Sullivan and his spouse José Colón of Arlington, Virginia; three nephews and two nieces; eleven grand-nieces and nephews; and several first cousins and their families, including Gail (Connolly) Gauthier of Lowell. Karen loved doting on her nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews when they were young.
Karen’s siblings would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of D’Youville for the loving care and dedication to their sister.
