Jeffrey M. Borski

Loving son, brother, uncle and friend;

Jeffrey M. Borski,36, died on September 29, 2020 in Lowell after a brief illness.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, April 23, 1984, he was the beloved son of Judith C. Sheppard - Silva and her husband Arthur and Michael W, Borski and his wife Joyce.

Jeffrey was a graduate of Lowell Catholic High School Class of 2002.

Most recently, he was a Life Style Consultant with Aspire Lifestyles. Previously, Jeffrey was a laser engineer specialist with the Floor Store in Ipswich.

An exceptionally talented musician, Jeff played in many local bands at various venues throughout Greater Lowell.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a sister Catherine Christie and her husband Dominique of Haverhill; two nephews Elijsha and Tyson Christie; a niece Angelica Christie; his maternal grandmother Norma Sheppard of Dracut; and a paternal grandfather Raymond Borski of Centerville, MA.

He was also the grandson of the late Robert Sheppard, Sr. and the late Dorothy Borski.

Kiki G. Papageorge

Beloved sister, aunt and friend;

Kiki G. Papageorge, 93, of Belmont, MA, but formerly of Waltham, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 1, 2020 at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA.

Born in Samos, Greece, December 14, 1926, she was the daughter of the late George E. Papageorge and the late Ourania (Kevernetis) Papageorge, Kiki along with her sister Athena emigrated to the United Stataes in 1955.

Kiki worked for Polaroid Corporation in Waltham, MA, for over 25 years, retiring as a Quality Control Inspector.

Among her several interests, she enjoyed gardening and especially being with her family.

She is survived by a sister Athena Svoronos of CA; a brother Stephen G. Papageorge and his wife Iris of Samos, Greece; several loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Kiki was also the sister of the late Eugenia G. Nicholas and the late Emmanuel G. Pappageorge .

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a Private Funeral Service was held for Kiki's family at the HELLENIC ORTHODOX CHURCH OF THE HOLY TRINITY in Lowell followed by burial in the Lowell Cemetery. William F. “Bill” Hrinchuk

Beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend;

William F. “Bill” Hrinchuk, 58, of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly Sunday September 27, 2020 at his home.

Born in Woburn, Massachusetts, September 7, 1962, a son of the late William F. and the late Doreen J. (Kearins) Hrinchuk, he attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Greater Lowell Technical High School Class of 1980.

Bill worked for most of his life as an Optical Technician. More recently he worked in shipping and receiving for F. W. Webb.

He enjoyed the outdoors and liked to hike, go camping and kayaking. However, his greatest joy was when he was with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his daughter Jenna P. Hrinchuk of Lowell; two sons Matthew W. Hrinchuk of Lowell and Brian W. Hrinchuk and his fiancée Amanda Loiselle of Concord, NH; five grandchildren Nathan Hrinchuk, Davian Loiselle, Rosabelle Hrinchuk, Sophia Mao and Kameron Mao; a sister Donna L. Simmons and her husband Gerald of Florida; two brothers Mark D. Hrinchuk of Lowell and Michael A. Hrinchuk of Florida; and several nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his former wife Sue Lemire.

He was also the brother of the late John Hrinchuk and the late Diane Hrinchuk.

Geraldine J. “Gerry” Gavin

Beloved sister, aunt and friend;

LOWELL-  Geraldine J. “Gerry” Gavin, 78, a member of a well-known Greater Lowell family, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 22, 2020 at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, January 26, 1942, a daughter of the late James C. and the late Lucille (Lauzon) Gavin, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1960.

Gerry went on to attend Greater Lowell Technical High School’s Nursing program and became a Licensed Practical Nurse.

A dedicated nurse, with a career spanning over 40 years, she was a pediatric nurse for 35 years at Saint John’s Hospital (nka Lowell General Hospital-Saints Campus) and later retired from the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital.

Gerry will be remembered by her family and friends for her loyalty, her zest for life, sense of humor and determination. Gerry’s size was no measure for her strength as she was leaned on by many in need.

She is survived by her siblings, Marie (Gavin) Barker and her husband Dennis, Jimmy Gavin and his wife June, Edward Gavin, Dennis Gavin and his wife Robin, Sheila Gavin, Kevin Gavin and his wife Robin, Kenneth Gavin and his wife Kimberly; and by many loving nieces, nephews and their children.

In her later years, she enjoyed spending time with her family, her beloved dog, Chip and her best friends Danny White and Margie Fenney.

Gerry was predeceased by her brother, Billy, her nephews Ryan and Paul and her sister Sheila who passed away at a very young age.

The Gavin family would like to thank the wonderful staff at D’Youville Senior Care for their incredible care for Gerry.
